Lots of adults who visit us to relax, unwind and paint pottery hesitate to make the move to creating something unique in clay.  Well…. don’t hesitate!  We work out in advance projects that you won’t go wrong with, that are not ‘technical’ to make, and that can be comfortably completed,

Here we show a beginners project that has proved very popular this term, – Beautiful Bowls.  Straightforward and fun to make, these attractive bowls can express your own creativity, or be made to tone with your kitchen or dining room.

What’s more, these cool shapes are perfect to decorate with ‘Special Effects’ glazes.

This is one question that we are asked almost every week!

and the answer is usually, what do you want to make?  As a complete beginner, it is good to start off by understanding the material you will be working with, which is why we suggest you start with one of the projects we have designed with beginners in mind, such as making a door plaque, or a stunning studio art bowl. These projects takejust one 2.5 hour session to complete, and will enable you to get to grips with the dos and don’ts of handling clay, and it’s limitations!   But if you have something in mand that you want to make, either for your home or as a gift, call in, phone us or email to discuss it, if it is possible,we will help you to make it!

we have a friendly and informal clay sculpture group for adults, where you will be very welcome, and within a session or two you will be able to think out and create the ideas you have in mind.
